The PwC Kili trekking team set off on one last walk before they jet off to Tanzania to take on the epic Mount Kilimanjaro. Their last walk found the team tackling the first 16 miles of the North Downs Way in anticipation of their trip in two weeks’ time.
The day started off rather damp but ended in glorious sunshine. The team are hoping the lovely weather will continue all the way to Tanzania, so they can see the wonderful sights and views from the ‘roof of Africa’. The walk underfoot was squelchy to say the least, with the rains of the past few days taking their toll on the paths. It was a core work-out trying to stay upright but all good training for what is to come!
The group ended their fantastic walk with hot chocolates
all round to heat up and relax for a little while watching the rugby.
Jen said “The next walk we undertake will be the bi
g one…the one we have been working towards…the one that has allowed us to raise money for the incredible charity Wellbeing of Women…the one that we will never forget and will be full of stories we tell our friends and family…the one that further spreads the awareness of this fantastic cause.”
We can’t wait to hear more from the trekkers as they take on the challenge they have been working so hard towards, and wish them the very best for this exciting trip!
