Wellbeing of Women is extremely grateful to our celebrity supporters who have helped us raise vital funds and awareness about our work into gynaecological and reproductive health.
In 2007 and again in 2008 Kirsty Young hosted our Inspirational Women of the Year Awards Gala – in association with The Daily Mail.
Henry Kelly and Jo Brand also offered their support to make 2008’s Alternative Valentine’s Dinner a rip- roaring success.
Our Eating for Pregnancy website has seen recipes provided by TV Presenter Kirsty Gallacher.
Bids on Lids - Celebrity Hat Auction
In December 2006 Wellbeing of Women held a ‘Bids on Lids’ celebrity hat auction in aid of the ‘WoW Baby’ miscarriage campaign.
The unique online auction featured signed hats from stars including Keira Knightley, Gordon Ramsay, Wayne Rooney, Sir Richard Branson, Peter Crouch, Graham Norton, Fearne Cotton, the Duchess of York and the former Prime Minister’s wife, Cherie Blair.
Thanks to the generosity of our bidders, Wellbeing of Women raised thousands of pounds from the auction.
Pants to Ovarian Cancer
Janet Ellis and Joanne Lumley were just a couple of the celebrities who helped us raise awareness of ovarian cancer by decorating a pair of white pants to help us say 'Pants to Ovarian Cancer' in March 2006.
