Ask the Expert

Ask the Expert is a regular feature of our Friends Scheme Site and in the past few months we have covered the following topics: Menopause & HRT with Peter Bowen-Simpkins, Bladder conditions and incontinence with Suzy Elneil, Ovarian Cancer with Sean Kehoe, Pregnancy with Marcus Setchell and this month we will be covering Endometriosis with Gillian Rose.

In March Always Envive and Wellbeing of Women launched a campaign to raise awareness of incontinence.  By talking about this problem we hope to break down taboos and get women talking about the problem which affects millions, show they are not alone, and give them the confidence to shake off the embarrassment and overcome the problem.

To support the campaign we reproduce here our 'Ask the Expert' article on Incontinence with Suzy Elneil, a Consultant Urogynaecologist and Gynaecologist at University College Hospital London, and Ruth Hawkes a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Women’s Health (ACPWH) who gives advice on pelvic floor exercises.

There are many ways you can donate to Wellbeing of Women. Your donation will help us continue to fund research into all aspects of reproductive health.
