          Margaret's Story

          Super Survivor

Margaret Hannant is an amazing survivor – having been diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 1979 and given only three months to live, she is one of life’s miracles and is still here to tell her tale 26 years later!

Margaret has had numerous sessions of chemotherapy and radiation over the years, suffers other health problems and is wheelchair bound - but her loving family and her determination to beat her cancer have kept her going.

Despite all she has been though, Margaret says she would much rather be alive as she is today able to enjoy going to the theatre, trips out, holidays with her family and her continued love of Donny Osmond, than have died at the age 32 when she was first diagnosed.

There are many ways you can donate to Wellbeing of Women. Your donation will help us continue to fund research into all aspects of reproductive health.
