Digital Communications Officer

We are looking for a Digital Communications Officer, who will take a lead on social media content production on all platforms and management of our social media channels.

Our Communications and Campaigns team is growing this year. We have been changing how we communicate and campaign and are carving out a new approach to media work, political engagement, and digital mobilisation. This role will play a crucial part in raising our profile and will play a crucial part in raising our profile.

The ideal candidate will also be self-motivated, a strong communicator with excellent writing and speaking skills and attention to detail. They should enjoy working as part of a busy and fast-paced team.

It is a full time role. Salary £29,000 per annum.

Main Duties:

  • Management of the charity website. Creating new content and keeping the site up to date with news, features etc. Coordinating activities to drive traffic to the website.
  • Developing social media campaigns. Creating accurate, meaningful, relevant and shareable content to engage target audiences and increase engagement.
  • Developing engaging multi-media for multi-channel campaigns, including videos, animations and graphics.
  • Analysing and reporting on SEO, social media, press and other metrics; using these data to inform future campaigns and communications activities.
  • Actively identifying and helping to ‘recruit’ people with lived experience of the issues we work on to share their health experiences, including influencers in the women’s health space.
  • Creating e-newsletters. Working closely with colleagues in research and fundraising teams to compile and issue suitable content and stories.
  • Supporting with copywriting and proofreading as required.
  • In collaboration with colleagues in the Communications team develop and deliver communications and marketing outputs to promote Wellbeing of Women’s work, and the work of our main campaigns.
  • Contribute to Communications & Campaigns team planning with creative ideas to help develop our campaigns and contribute to other areas such as fundraising communications.
  • Management of our CRM related to Communications & Campaigns contacts.
