Big Give Christmas Challenge 2017

Find a cure for the leading cause of stillbirth and end the heartache of losing a baby

We’re delighted to have raised £16,000 to help tiny babies at risk of stillbirth achieve healthy growth, as part of the Big Give Christmas Challenge 2017  – the UK’s largest match funding campaign!

From midday 28th November to midday 5th December, donations made to our project through the Big Give website were be doubled.

Your generous donations will help us ensure these vulnerable babies develop fully.

Fetal growth restriction, the main cause of stillbirth, affects 1 in 20 pregnancies. Our researcher Dr Adam Brook and his team at St Mary’s Hospital, Manchester are looking at repurposing the drug Hydroxychloroquine to treat fetal growth restriction.

Professor Brownbill said: “That’a a very big WoW! And we are very pleased and grateful for the generous support your charity has given. Your offer of support has been a vital bridge towards out next hopeful venture of taking our work to a clinical trial. Our preliminary data is looking very promising and we will bring you up to speed very shortly. Fantastic news.”

A special thank you to our champion funder, women’s magazine, Candis. We couldn’t have done it without your support!
