Who thought raising money could be this fun?
On 23 July, our fabulous Brighton Branch of dedicated fundraisers hosted their first ever Country and Vintage Fayre to raise money for Wellbeing of Women and the local Newtimber Church. There were plenty of stalls packed to the gunnels selling everything from stylish clothes, vintage furniture, hand-made jewellery and delicious local fresh food.
There was plenty of entertainment including singing and pottery as well as the traditional, tombola and raffle. For those who didn’t want to shop they could try their hands at archery and keeping the little
ones entertained were face painters creating everything from little fairies to every manner of animal face.
Bea Churchill, a Wellbeing of Women volunteer commented: “it’s such a lovely event and I am happy to volunteer my time to help such a great charity!”
Janet from Wellbeing of Women’s Brighton Branch said: “This is the first time we have hosted this event and it has been an enormous success. We are thrilled with the number of visitors and the support we’ve received from stall holders, food suppliers, entertainers, volunteers and of course all those who came along on the day! We are thrilled to be able to support Wellbeing of Women and our local church.”
Special thanks from the Wellbeing of Women team to Janet, Marilyn and Irene, from the Brighton Branch, whose tireless work and commitment made sure this event was such a rip roaring success!
