Talking about her support for the charity, Eve, Wellbeing of Women Vice Chair, said: “I joined Wellbeing Of Women because my mother died a couple of days after her 55th birthday from ovarian cancer.
“Wellbeing of Women are not only finding cures but are looking for ways to find out safely if you have it. ”
Professional dancers Anton du Beke & Erin Boag and Janette Manrara & Aljaz Skorjanec wowed guests with a stunning surprise performance, too.
AJ Pritchard and dancer partner Chloe Hewitt were there on the night as well, showing their support for Wellbeing of Women’s work.
Dr David Jeevan spoke on the night about his pioneering research into ovarian cancer. Every year ovarian cancer kills over 4000 women in the UK and 7000 women will be newly diagnosed with the disease. Dr David Jeevan’s hope is to develop a new test for ovarian cancer which could lead to saving thousands of women’s lives.
A HUGE thank you to everyone who came! It was a fantastic night and we were able to raise enough money to continue funding our incredible researchers such as Dr David Jeevan.
