Sheffield Branch Christmas Choir Concert 

On Thursday 7 December, our Sheffield Branch hosted a festive choir evening at Crookes Social Club. Guests were treated to a beautiful selection of songs by award-winning, all female local acapella choir, the Sheffield Harmony.

In addition to the wonderful music, the evening raised an incredible £1,000 in support of Wellbeing of Women!

Wealden Branch Festive Cookery Demonstration

Our Wealden Branch kicked off December with a festive cookery demonstration, delivered by local Chef Martin Doyle of Food for Thought. He shared with them some quick and easy canapé recipes, just in time for the party season! They continued the festive theme, selling Christmas wreaths and table decorations all hand-made by the committee members. And in true Christmas fashion, they finished the afternoon with a raffle and tea with mince pies, Christmas cake and stollen.

We were amazed by the beautiful hand-made decorations and the fantastic £510 raised! Huge thanks to the committee and their guests for generously supporting Wellbeing of Women, helping transform the lives of women and their families.

Brighton Hobbs Shopping Evening 

Over 20 guests joined the exclusive shopping evening hosted by our Brighton & Hove Branch and supported by Hobbs. Guests were treated to champagne and pampering session before enjoying the special 20% offer in store. The evening ended with a raffle draw and thanks from branch member, Janet Dixon.

Lincoln Festive Coffee Morning

Our long-standing Lincoln Branch held their annual festive coffee morning on Friday 17 November in support of Wellbeing of Women. Over 40 guests enjoyed a freshly made cup of coffee and mince pie whilst they browsed the lovely stalls selling local Christmas treats such as home-made cakes and jams, home ware and accessories. After a couple of hours of shopping and catching up with friends, the day ended with a raffle draw including prizes kindly donated by the stall holders.

Huge congratulations to the Branch for another successful coffee morning, which raised an incredible £650. Thanks to all involved for their support and generous contributions.

Brighton Branch annual Dim Sum lunch

On Wednesday, 6 April, the Wellbeing of Women Brighton Branch hosted their annual Dim Sum lunch to raise money and awareness for our work. Welcoming 35 guests to the China Garden along the seafront at Brighton beach, the sun shone on this happy event.

As one of the longest-running branches for Wellbeing of Women, the Brighton branch are always looking for new ideas and guests to attend their events.

Congratulations to our Bath Half Marathon Runners –Emma, India, Wayne, James and Emily

We are very proud of our runners who did an amazing job by completing the 13 mile course across one of the longest established and most popular city centre road events in the UK.

Every single one of our runners did an amazing job of completing the 13 mile course and have raised over £1,000, with more money still to come!

19th Years and Still Going Strong for Wellbeing in Nottingham

Long standing supporters Halimah Khaled and Professor Jim Thornton hosted their 19th Bollywood Ball at the Village Hotel on Saturday 5th of March.

Friends, family and Guests enjoyed a wonderful hot buffet and were entertained by the marvellous R & R Bollywood Band. The fabulous event was rounded up with an auction and raffle raising a tremendous amount for Wellbeing of Women.  Thank you to Halimah, Professor Jim and Mrs Sue Thornton for all their continued support of Wellbeing of Women.

Finally, many congratulations to Halimah who will be shortly be starting a new chapter in her busy life as Mayor of Broxtowe Borough Council.  Halimah was honoured with an MBE by the Queen in 2015 in recognition of her services to charity and community relations.

Flipping Out for Wellbeing of Women 

What’s not to like about a pancake breakfast get together – buttered pancakes smothered in warm maple syrup, orange juice and coffee.

Our ever busy fabulous Great Yarmouth branch members did just that with successful morning of get together.

Carol Christmas, said, “We had a very good attendance and also a raffle. A total of £350 was raised which we were pleased with”.
