How to Make a Dress: Jenny Packham in conversation with Eve Pollard, OBE-image

What makes the perfect dress, and how do clothes help shape both identity and culture?

If you don't know of Jenny Packham, one of Britain's leading designers, you will have seen her iconic dresses adorning some of the world's most famous women - from Angelina Jolie’s unforgettable flame-red premiere dress to “that” turquoise gown worn by the Duchess of Cambridge on more than one occasion.

Following the publication of her memoir How to Make a Dress, Jenny and our Vice Chair Eve Pollard, OBE – aka ‘the first lady of Fleet Street’ - will come together and discuss fashion, life, love and the power of clothes, and Jenny’s journey to finding inspiration for her incredible designs.

Don’t forget to buy your copy – with a book plate signed by the author – from Primrose Hill books, 25% proceeds of which will go towards our life-saving research.

Have a question for Jenny? Email events@wellbeingofwomen.org.uk before the event and they’ll do their best to answer your questions during the session.
