Menopause Xplored & The FSB Network, Lunch & Learn - Luton - 13:45-15:00

Join Wellbeing of Women and The Federation for Small Business for a one-off network & learn event. Book either a morning or afternoon session to join a workshop and learn about the menopause and how it can affect women in the workplace.

In between the morning and afternoon workshops, you will have the opportunity to network with both groups over a free buffet lunch*

On the day, there will be plenty of opportunities to set up one-on-one meetings and make new business contacts. Don't forget to bring and share your business cards!

* You will need to book a ticket to attend either the morning or afternoon workshop and a separate ticket for the networking lunch. Please note that you can attend a workshop without lunch, but any lunches booked without a workshop will be cancelled.

Menopause Xplored brings innovative training using immersive film to SMEs (small and medium enterprises) in Milton Keynes, Bedford, Central Beds and Luton.

A programme from leading women’s health charity, Wellbeing of Women, Menopause Xplored is part of our mission to improve the health and wellbeing of women.

Who can attend

We welcome business owners, managers and employees from SMEs in the region, with up to 250 employees who are looking for practical help to ensure a more supportive, diverse and prosperous workplace. The event is open to both FSB members and non-members.

Up to two free places per business are available.

Immersive VR film

We will begin with an immersive film, viewed through a virtual reality headset. The film shows one woman’s experience of menopause and the challenges she faced in the workplace.

Group discussion

We will then discuss the film and share our insights. This is a chance to reflect, and to consider particular situations or issues in our own workplaces.

Advice and guidance

Expert trainer Diane Danzebrink from Menopause Support will provide information and practical tips, to help you and your organisation offer the right kind of support.

Resources

You will receive an information pack to take away with you on the day and access to further online resources.

We are working with Menopause Reality, a multi-film immersive project from Forward Slash Films, sharing individual stories of women's experiences of the menopause in the workplace, viewed in VR headsets. Workshops will be delivered by leading menopause expert Diane Danzebrink from Menopause Support.

Menopause Xplored has been developed by Wellbeing of Women and is funded through the VCSE Health and Wellbeing Fund. This is part of a partnership programme between the Department of Health and Social Care, NHS England and the UK Health Security Agency.
