On Sunday 29th October, our lovely ladies of the Northern Ireland Branch – Kim, Marian, Heather, Jane, Jud, Christine, Karin and Jenny – took on the Dublin Marathon to raise vital funds for Wellbeing of Women.
Our runners were greeted with good weather on the day, cheering crowds and a great atmosphere as they tackled the 26.2mile route.
We’re very pleased to let you know they successfully completed the course and more amazingly, have raised an incredible £11,032 in support of our work in women’s health.
Committee member Jenny commented: “Thankfully we all survived the marathon and finished in a respectable time. Everyone a little sore & tired but no major problems to report. We are all feeling very proud of ourselves and are already talking about the next one!!”
This is a fantastic achievement and we are most grateful for their hard work, dedication and continued support. Huge thanks and congratulations from us all for their efforts!
