Around 2 in 3 women develop at least one fibroid at some point in their life. These growths can cause heavy, painful periods, and in rare circumstances, issues with fertility. This condition is more common in and often worse for Black women, who are three times more likely to develop a fibroid, more likely to experience larger and more numerous fibroids, and suffer with more severe symptoms.
In this webinar, Professor Dame Lesley Regan will speak to Prof Faye Ruddock from The Caribbean & African Health Network (CAHN), Wellbeing of Women Clinical Research Fellow at the Centre for Reproductive Health at the University of Edinburgh Dr Marianne Watters, as well as Rebecca Brown, who will share her experience of living with 25 fibroids.
