Webinar: Sport, exercise and women’s health. How to future-proof your body-image

Sport and exercise aren’t just about improving fitness - they help future-proof your body. From heart and bone strength to mental wellbeing; supporting our bodies through puberty, pregnancy, menopause and older years; and helping us find our tribes, staying active matters for women and girls.

But we know the barriers: time pressures, body confidence, cultural factors, and gynaecological concerns such as heavy periods, prolapse and incontinence can prevent women and girls from starting or maintaining exercise.

Join our webinar and discover:
- Tips to build strength at every age, and how exercise powers women’s health across all life-stages
- The relationship between exercise, hormones, and everything from your menstrual health to cancer risk
- The best workouts for now - and for the future you
- Solutions for common barriers (yes, leak-proof underwear!)
- How to find the sport that works for YOU

Professor Dame Lesley Regan will be chatting to Dr Folusha Oluwajana, a doctor and personal trainer on a mission to help you transform your body; Elizabeth Davies, fitness coach and founder of This Woman Lifts who focuses on training for a body that will support you now and in the decades to come; and Kelly Gordon, Executive Lead for NETBALLHer at England Netball and a leading voice in breaking down barriers to female participation in sport.

Have a question for one of our speakers? Email education@wellbeingofwomen.org.uk before the event and they’ll do their best to answer during the session – but please note we can't give personal medical advice or address individual cases.

The webinar will be recorded, so if you’re unable to attend it live, you can watch it back at a time that suits you. Register for the event and you'll receive an email with a link to the recording after the webinar.
