Plan your own fundraiser

Heavy menstrual bleeding, endometriosis, infertility, miscarriage, and menopause affect millions of women, yet so many still don’t get the care and support they need. Despite the devastating impact of these conditions, women’s health remains chronically underfunded and overlooked.

We need your help to change this. Every penny you raise will fund ground-breaking research to improve the lives of women, girls, and babies. Without amazing supporters like you, none of this would be possible.

The best part? Fundraising can be fun and completely tailored to you! Whether you love baking, running, hosting quiz nights, or getting creative, there’s a way to make a difference while doing something you enjoy.

However you choose to raise funds, you’ll be helping to transform women’s health for years to come.

How to set up your own fundriaser

Choose and plan your fundraiser

There are so many fun and creative ways to fundraise the possibilities are endless! It’s always easier and more enjoyable when you choose something you already love doing.

Why not invite a friend or a group to join you? Fundraising together can make the experience even more exciting and less daunting.

Looking for inspiration? Our Fundraising Ideas Pack is on the way, filled with plenty of unique and exciting ideas to get you started. But for now here are a few fundraising ideas to spark your creativity:

🎨 For creatives: Live Art Auction - Paint or create something live while people bid on the final piece!

📖 For book lovers: Blind Date with a Book - Wrap up donated books with a short teaser on the cover and sell them as a mystery read.

🏋️ For fitness fans: Backwards Challenge - Run, walk, or cycle a set distance but in reverse! Get sponsored for the challenge.

🎵 For music lovers: Karaoke Dare Night - Let supporters donate to choose your next song (or challenge you to sing in a funny accent!).

🌍 For travel enthusiasts: Around the World Dinner Night - Host a dinner featuring dishes from different countries, with guests donating to attend.

🧵 For craft lovers: DIY Workshop - Teach people how to make candles, knit, or craft something unique for a small donation.

🐾 For animal lovers: Pet Fashion Show - Organize a fun event where pets strut their stuff in cute costumes, with an entry fee and audience voting!

🍽️ For foodies: Ultimate Taste Test - Challenge people to guess different foods blindfolded, with a donation to participate.

Spread the word

Social media is a fantastic way to share your fundraiser and encourage donations. Be sure to use all your platforms - Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, and email - to reach your entire network (and beyond!). The more people who hear about your fundraiser, the more support you’ll receive.

Connect with local businesses, community groups, or social clubs as they might be happy to promote your fundraiser to their networks.

🌟Top tip: Adding a QR code to posters, flyers, or even your email signature makes it quick and easy for people to donate straight to your fundraising page.

Fundraise and have fun!

Fundraising doesn’t have to feel daunting, in fact, it should be exciting and rewarding! The key is to keep it simple and choose something you genuinely enjoy. Whether it’s baking, running, crafting, or hosting a quiz night, doing something you love will make the whole experience even more fun.

And remember, every penny you raise will directly support life-changing research to improve the health of women, girls, and babies everywhere. So while you’re having fun, you’re also making a real difference!

Wellbeing of Women is a charity close to my heart and have tried to support it over the years in different ways in an effort to raise awareness of women's health and the work the charity does Jan, Community Supporter

When Jan and her husband Keith retired from the NHS, they saw it as the perfect opportunity to dedicate more time to fundraising.

Keith’s family marmalade recipe, passed down from his father, had always been a hit, with friends and family raving about it. Inspired by the praise, they decided to put their skills to good use - making 1lb jars of marmalade to raise money for Wellbeing of Women.

Eight years later, their delicious marmalade is still in demand! Their local greengrocer even stocks it to sell on the charity’s behalf, helping them raise even more for this important cause. As long as people keep enjoying their marmalade, Jan and Keith are more than happy to keep making it - one jar at a time!
