We are entering a pivotal period for women's health. Professor Dame Lesley Regan Wellbeing of Women Chair

2025 was another year of progress for Wellbeing of Women, as we continued to fund research, drive education and advocate for change across every stage of women's lives. We funded 16 new research projects – from menstrual and gynaecological health to fertility, pregnancy, menopause and healthy ageing – all awarded to early career researchers, and for the first time, women with lived experience worked alongside scientific experts to help decide which projects we funded.

Our "Just a Period" campaign reached a major milestone with the launch of the Period Symptom Checker, used by more than 70,000 people in its first year and helping many seek help sooner. As secretariat to the Menopause APPG, we published Rebuilding Trust, exposing inequalities in menopause care, while our Employer Membership Programme grew to support more than 190,000 employees across nearly 50 organisations. Through the Health Collective, we ensured the voices of diverse and marginalised communities directly shaped the refresh of the Women's Health Strategy for England.

Despite a tougher fundraising environment, our incredible community of supporters, partners and donors helped us raise £1.39 million to continue this vital work. With our new research strategy launching in 2026, we're entering a pivotal period for women's health – one guided by lived experience, strong partnerships and the dedication of everyone who supports us.
