Finance volunteer

Wellbeing of Women is the women’s health charity saving and changing the lives of women, girls and babies. Our ambition is to ensure that women’s lives are not limited by their gynaecological and reproductive health.

We do this by investing in world class research, championing education, tackling taboos, influencing guidelines, policy and practice and empowering women to advocate for themselves.

The charity is in an exciting point in our evolution. We have just set our strategy for the next 5 years and we have ambitious plans for growth to enable us to achieve more to support women and girls at all stages of life.

We are looking for a finance volunteer to work with the team to support with day to day finance processes including invoicing, expenses, payments and general queries.

You will be working closely with the Finance Manager to provide a full finance function to the organisation and maintain accurate financial records.

This role will help the charity with day-to-day financial administration and help maintain accurate financial records. This role is vital in ensuring we operate efficiently, transparently, and in line with charity finance requirements.

We use Xero as our main accounting package supported by Donorfy and other software and spreadsheets.

This would be an opportunity to gain experience and skills in finance and knowledge of the charity sector. And to know you are giving your time to support a fantastic cause making a real difference to women’s healthcare.

Main Duties

  • Answer queries sent to Finance Inbox
  • Preparation of sales invoices, requests for payment and donation receipts
  • Processing and coding of purchase invoices and expenses
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Uploading income data from Donorfy CRM
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis
