Walk and Talk for Women’s Health

Walk and talk for women’s health, raising funds as you go. This challenge is open ended and you can sign up at any time of the year!

Why take part in the ‘Walk and Talk for Women’s Health’?

Women and girls face health inequalities throughout their lives. Stigma and taboo often mean that topics such as heavy menstrual bleeding, miscarriage and gynaecological cancer are not discussed, which can lead to delays in diagnosis, lack of appropriate care and treatment, and long-term health implications.

We want women to feel empowered with the information they need to be aware of the treatment options that are right for them. Everyone should be an advocate for women’s health.

By taking part in the ‘Walk and Talk for Women’s Health’ challenge, not only will you raise vital funds to invest in ground-breaking research, education, and advocacy for women’s health, you’ll also be playing an active role in normalising conversations to break down stigma .

What’s involved?

This is a flexible walking challenge, where you decide the targets! Choose the miles you want to cover over 4 weeks and the amount you’d like to fundraise.

Walk with a friend or family, colleague or as a team using our ‘Talking Points sheet’ (you’ll receive these weekly after signing up for the challenge) to get you talking about women’s health.

Tell colleagues and friends about the challenge, get them involved and ask for donations to raise vital funds for women’s health!

How do I sign up?

You can sign up as either a corporate, to complete the challenge with colleagues, or as an individual. Please email [email protected] to register your interest.

What happens once I’ve signed up?

This challenge runs for four weeks and each week you’ll be sent a ‘Talking Points sheet’ on a certain women’s health topic, as well as advice and further information.

If you have any questions about the challenge our fundraising team is always on hand to help. Please email [email protected] to get in touch.
