HRT: fact or fiction - video
Hormone replacement therapy (HTR) is an effective treatment for menopause symptoms for many, but less than 1 in 5 women of menopause age are on it.
Some people are not aware that treatment is available, or they might have concerns about side-effects or potential risks. But what is the truth about HRT?
Menopause expert Dr Sue Mann and menopause advocate, Madhu Kapoor, join Wellbeing of Women’s Chair Professor Dame Lesley Regan, in our webinar, “HRT: fact and fiction”.
Since 2023 we’ve provided our webinars at no cost to everyone who needs them, as part of our mission to improve education around women’s health. The experts and the women sharing their stories generously volunteer their time for free. But webinars still cost our charity a lot to produce! We pay for the webinar technology and our staff costs, and a single webinar can cost us up to £1,709. On average we spend £10 on each person attending each webinar.

If public knowledge about women's gynaecological and reproductive health improves, the lives of women and girls will radically change. Empowered with information, women will be able to advocate for themselves, healthcare professionals will be able to provide better care, and friends, families and employers will be able to offer appropriate support.
