Bestselling author Marian Keyes and iconic journalist Eve Pollard OBE discussed everything from writing to equality last week at Wellbeing of Women’s latest Virtual Literary Lunch.

On Friday 19th June, Keyes told guests about her new book via webinar, including what inspired her to write the story and what she thinks when her writing is described as ‘chick lit’.

Grown Ups follows one glamorous family, the Caseys, and what happens when well-kept secrets become not-so-secret anymore.

Both Pollard and Wellbeing of Women supporters had questions for the author, including queries about her writing process, who inspires her characters and whether she has a ‘lockdown novel’ in her.

Keyes also gave thoughts on women’s health, including the menopause, saying that although no one seems to want to talk about it, “it’s nothing to be ashamed of”.

Marian also revealed whether this would be the last time we will hear from the Casey family.
