In the journey of a lifetime, our supporter Miriam Payne, from Seas the Day, began the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge yesterday (Monday 12 December)!
Miriam will be rowing solo across the Atlantic, covering a distance of 3000 miles, in aid of our vital research, education and advocacy work across women's health.
Speaking to BBC News, Miriam said she believed women's health issues were underfunded so wanted to "raise awareness of this problem".
“The charity really appealed to me because its medical research is so pioneering. Women's health is so underfunded and under researched - any sort of little difference that we could see would just be incredible,” said Miriam.
