Professor Dame Lesley Regan wins Inspiration of the Year at HELLO! awards

Wellbeing of Women chair wins award to mark her life-long commitment to women's health

Wellbeing of Women Chair Professor Dame Lesley Regan has received the Inspiration of the Year award from HELLO! Magazine.

The HELLO! annual Inspiration Awards took place on Tuesday 5 October in a special ceremony to commend inspirational figureheads across the UK.

Held at the Corinthia London, Editor-in-chief Rosie Nixon welcomed celebrities including Elizabeth Hurley, Sarah Duchess of York and David Furnish to present and pick up awards in front of celebrities.

TV presenter Natasha Kaplinsky took to the stage to introduce Professor Dame Lesley Regan, chair of Wellbeing of Women and previously only the second-ever woman to be elected President of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 64 years.

The award was made to celebrate Prof Dame Regan’s life-long commitment to protect and improve women's rights and health.

During the ceremony, HELLO! also announced its partnership with Wellbeing of Women on the 'Menopause Workplace Pledge', a new campaign raising awareness of the menopause as a workplace issue and encouraging employers to sign up to provide support for women going through this transition.
