Menopause Xplored FAQs

What counts as a ‘small to medium sized business?

Any organisation with up to 250 people. Menopause Xplored isn’t just for businesses, but also charities, community interest companies, not-for-profit organisations and public sector bodies. And it doesn’t matter what industry or sector you’re in either – you could be based in an office, a retail outlet, a hospitality venue, a leisure centre, a warehouse, or any other type of workplace.

How much does the training cost?

Nothing. It’s free and there are two places available for every organisation. You will need to cover your travel to the venue, but there is no cost for the workshop itself.

I’m not in Milton Keynes or Bedfordshire, but I’m interested – will there be a workshop for me at some point?

At the moment, we’re able to offer free workshops in these areas because of our existing links with local public health teams. However, we hope to be able to expand into other areas of the country soon. If you’d like to be kept informed, please subscribe to our updates.

Who runs and funds Menopause Xplored?

Menopause Xplored has been developed by Wellbeing of Women and is funded through the VCSE Health and Wellbeing Fund. This is part of a partnership programme between the Department of Health and Social Care, NHS England and the UK Health Security Agency.

We’re working with Menopause Reality, a multi-film immersive project from Forward Slash Films, sharing individual stories of women's experiences of the menopause in the workplace, viewed in VR headsets. Workshops will be delivered by leading menopause expert Diane Danzebrink from Menopause Support.
